A permanent, natural-feeling replacement — but a decision that needs assessment, not haste.
An implant is an artificial root placed in the jawbone. Once the bone has healed around it, a tooth is fitted on top. The result is fixed in place, cleaned like a normal tooth, and never taken out.
An implant also preserves the jawbone. Where a tooth is missing, the bone beneath gradually recedes — which is what changes the shape of the face after years of a gap.
Not every case is suitable immediately: available bone, gum health and general medical history all matter. Assessment comes first, and the plan is explained in full before any step is taken.
An implant is not a single appointment: there is the placement, then a healing period of some months while the bone integrates, then fitting the tooth. That timeline is set out in full at the start so you know what you are committing to.
